This game has a huge rules mistake. I thought back then that you could have multiple attacks against a single enemy in the same combat phase. Just that it usually didn’t make sense to do so because of defense. The last round in the game has me attacking the Nazghul 4 times in a single round. This game should have gone a few more round at least.

Turn 2: Foe-hammer drawn. Play both Knights of the Swan. Eowyn quests for 4. The Master’s Malice revealed and has no effect because all characters are . 2 progress placed on Morgul Vale. Murzag engages. Derndingle Warrior defends the attack. Shadow says to attack next player but there isn’t one so the attack continues. Use Derndingle Warrior action to boost defense to 5 and take 1 damage. Beregond, Legolas, and the knights attack for 9 killing Murzag. Morgul Vale explored from Legolas’s ability. Play Foe-hammer exhausting Dagger of Westernesse to draw Gondorian Shield, Eagles of the Misty Mountains, and Foe-hammer. Advance to stage 2b and Lord Alcaron added to the staging area. Refresh and threat is 31.
Turn 3: Gandalf drawn. Play Gondorian Shield on Beregond and Eagles of the Misty Mountains. Eowyn quests for 4. Morgul Bodyguard added to the staging area and no threat gained. Optionally engage bodyguard. Lord Alcaron engages. Beregond defends Lord Alcaron’s attack and 1 progress placed on To The Tower. Shadow would attack next player and is ignored but still counts as a shadow effect so no damage dealt and no second attack. Derndingle Warrior defends against the bodyguard and another attack next player shadow. Derndingle takes no damage. Legolas and the knights attack and kill the bodyguard. Play Foe-hammer number 2 drawing Rivendell Blade, Dúnedain Hunter, and Eagles of the Misty Mountains. Refresh and threat is 32.
Turn 4: Dúnedain Hunter number 2 drawn. Play Rivendell Blade on Legolas. Eowyn quests for 4. Morgul Road added and no threat gained. Travel to Morgul Road. Alcaron attacks, 1 progress added To The Tower, and Beregond defends. Shadow would add progress if attack kills a character so no damage dealt and no second attack. Legolas and the knights kill Alcaron adding 2 progress to Morgul Road and complete stage 2b. Nazgul, The White Bridge, and Morgul Vale added to the staging area. Refresh and threat is 33.
Turn 5: Rivendell Blade drawn. Play Gandalf dealing 4 damage to the Nazgul that is reduced to 1. No one sent to quest. Forest bat added to staging and when revealed effect does not have a target. Nazgul and bat engage. Beregond defends the Nazgul’s attack and there is no shadow effect. Beregond takes 1 damage. Derndingle Warrior defends the bat’s attack. Shadow adds 1 attack resulting in 1 damage to Derndingle Warrior. Legolas attacks the Nazgul lowering its defense by 2 for the rest of the phase and dealing 1 damage. Gandalf attacks dealing 1 damage thanks to Rivendell Blade‘s effect. Eowyn and a knight attack dealing 1 damage. The other knight and Eagles of the Misty Mountains attack and kill the Nazgul to win.
Score 89 = 33 + 5*10 + 1 hero damage + 0 dead heroes.
