The Weather Hills with Wandering the Lost Realm a Revised Card Pool Minimum Purchase Deck – December 23, 2022

Introduction

This introduction should be much shorter than my last one. I got The Weather Hills to the table not long after beating Intruders in Chetwood. It’s been a long time since I’ve played this one and just remember healing being important. My opening hand wasn’t great but I was hesitant to mulligan away from 2 healing cards.

Postmortem

I think my draws beat me more than the quest did. If I had gotten a 2 attack ally I would have been much more capable at killing orcs. It was also possible I could have survived the last round if I had kept Snowbourn Scout and used my 2 sneak attacks. I really was banking on trying to hang on for Gandalf to sneak attack in a couple times. Gandalf also would have really turned the tide. I had the resources on Denethor to play him 3 times at full cost. I peeked at my next few cards, Steward of Gondor 3, Will of the West, Dwarven Tomb, and then finally Ranger of Cardolan. I don’t think I need to sideboard just yet. I’ll have to see how the next game goes.
