Turn 1: Secret Vigil drawn. Arod, Dagger of Westernesse, and Rivendell Blade all played on Legolas. Eowyn quests for 4. Orc Arsonist added by staging for a total of 5 threat in the staging area. Threat increased by 1 to 29. Travel to Gondorian Hamlet. Engage arsonist and Beregond defends. Shadow adds 1 attack but Beregond does not take any damage. Legolas attacks and kills the arsonist. Arod exhausted and 3 progress placed on the active location. Refresh and threat is 30.
Turn 2: Draw Gondorian Shield and play on Beregond. Also play a Defender of Rammas. Eowyn quests for 4. Secluded Farmhouse added to the staging area. 1 progress on the active location exploring it and rescuing 3 villagers. Travel to the farmhouse and travel effect reveals an encounter card. Treachery discards Arod from the top of my deck. Refresh and threat is 31.
Turn 3: Favor of the Valar drawn. Play a second Defender of Rammas. Eowyn quests for 4. Treachery revealed but no effect but gains surge. Secluded farmhouse 2 added to the staging area. 1 progress on the active location. Refresh and threat is 33.
Turn 4: Gandalf drawn and played drawing 3 cards. Foe-hammer, Gandalf, and Gondorian Shield drawn. Eowyn, Gandalf, and Lord Alcaron quest for 9. Marauding Orc added to the staging area for 5 total threat. 2 progress placed on the active location exploring it and saving 2 villagers. 2 villagers saved from the quest, but 3 remain. Travel to secluded farmhouse and add Orc Ravager to the staging area. 1 villager killed from the secluded farmhouse by the Ravager. Marauding Orc engaged. Beregond defends against the attack. No shadow effect and no damage dealt. Legolas attacks and kills the orc. Legolas with Arod explores the active location saving 1 villager. Play Foe-hammer exhausting Dagger of Westernesse to draw Knights of the Swan, Rivendell Blade, and Dúnedain Hunter. Gandalf discarded, refresh, and threat is 34.
Turn 5: Derndingle Warrior drawn and played. Play Secret Vigil on orc ravager. Eowyn and Alcaron quest for 5. Bruning Farmhouse added to the staging area. 3 villagers saved from the quest completing stage 1b. Ghulat added to the staging area. Travel to the burning farmhouse. Orc Ravager and Ghulat engaged. Beregond defends the ravager’s attack, shadow adds 1 attack and another shadow card. Second shadow has no effect and Beregond takes no damage. Defender of Rammas defends Ghulat’s attack, but dead villager added for a total of 2. Shadow has no effect and no damage dealt. Legolas and second defender of Rammas attack Ghulat dealing 4 damage. Refresh, villager in burning farmhouse dies, and threat is 35.
Turn 6: Beechbone drawn and played. Eowyn and Derndingle Warrior quest for 5. Burning farmhouse added to the staging area. 4 progress placed onto the active location. Defender of Rammas defends the ravager’s attack, no shadow effect, and no damage dealt. Beregond defends Ghulat’s attack and a villager dies. No shadow effect and no damage dealt. Legolas attacks and kills Ghulat. Arod exhausts to place a progress on the burning farmhouse in the staging area. Legolas places 1 progress each on the active location and quest. Active location explored saving 3 villagers for a total of 9. Refresh, burning farmhouse would kill a villager but Lord Alcaron exhausts to keep them alive at that location, and threat is 36.
Turn 7: Honour Guard drawn. Play Honour Guard, Knights of the Swan, and Dúnedain Hunter. Second orc ravager added and engaged with me for the hunter. Eowyn and the Ents quest for 6. Orc Arsonist added for a total of 4 threat in the staging area. 2 progress placed on the quest. Travel to the burning farmhouse. Orc arsonist engaged giving both ravagers a shadow card. Beregond defends the first ravager attack. One of the shadows added another shadow card but no effect from it or the other card. Beregond takes no damage. Defender of Rammas defends the second ravager attack. One of the shadow cards adds another which leads to it getting plus attack equal to the 4 dead villagers. Defender of Rammas is killed. Defender of Rammas 2 defends the arsonist’s attack. Shadow raises threat by the 4 dead villagers to 40, but no damage dealt. Legolas attacks and kills the arsonist placing 3 progress on the active location. Knights of the Swan and Dúnedain Hunter attack and kill ravager with Secret Vigil attached. Threat reduced by 2 to 38. Refresh, Lord Alcaron keeps a villager at the burning farmhouse alive, threat is 39.
Turn 8: Favor of the Valar drawn. Play Secret Vigil on the ravager. Quest with Eowyn, the Ents, and Dúnedain Hunter for 8. Gondorian Hamlet added the staging area for 2 threat. 1 progress explores the burning farmhouse saving 4 villagers for a total of 13. Quest gains 5 progress for a total of 8. Travel to the hamlet. Beregond defends the ravager’s attack, no shadow, and no damage dealt. Legolas attacks and kills the enemy placing 3 progress on the active location. Secret Vigil reduces threat by 2 to 37. Refresh and threat is 38.
Turn 9: Favor of the Valar drawn. Play Gandalf reducing threat by 5 to 33. Eowyn, Gandalf, the Ents, and hunter quest for 12. Treachery raises threat by number of dead villagers, 4, to 37 and surges. Surge card is Craven Eagle. Discarded 3 random cards rather than lose a character. Favor of the Valar x2 and Rivendell Blade discarded. 9 progress made with 3 threat in the staging area to explore active location, save 3 villagers for a total of 16 and complete the quest to win.
Score: 37 threat + 9 rounds * 10 + 0 hero damage + 0 threat of dead heroes – 8 victory points = 119.
