Seige of Cair Andros with Mono-Tactics 2 & 3 – July 29, 2019

Introduction

Sorry Frodo, the card review was delayed. Here is the next installment of my 2019 Mono-Tactics playthroughs versus Against the Shadow.

Attempt 2

Starting hand: Feint x2, Vassal of the Windlord, Winged Guardian, Favor of the Valar, and Legolas.

Turn 1: Honour Guard drawn. Winged Guardian played. Beregond and Winged Guardian quest for 8. Orc Scramblers revealed and deal 1 to battlegrounds. Orc Assault reduces each character attack and defense by 2 lower questing to 4. Threat raised to 31. Travel to The Citadel. Orc Scramblers engaged and Eowyn defends. Shadow cards add 2 attack knocking out Eowyn and I scoop.

Attempt 3

Starting hand: Dwarven Axe, Eagles of the Misty Mountains, Knights of the Swan, Gandalf, Legolas, Defender of Rammas

Turn 1: Bofur drawn. Knights of the Swan played. Orc Vanguard added to the staging area. Threat raised to 31. Travel to The Citadel. Orc Vanguard engaged. Knights defends and dies. Shadow card deals 2 damage to all the battlegrounds. Aragorn attacks dealing 1 damage to the Orc Vanguard. Refresh and threat is 32.

Turn 2: Legolas drawn. Gandalf played dealing 4 damage to Orc Vanguard killing it. Eowyn and Beregond quest for 5. Orc War Camp added to the staging area. Threat raised to 35. Gandalf discarded, refresh, and threat is 36.

Turn 3: Eagles of the Misty Mountains drawn. Defender of Rammas played. Eowyn, Beregond, and Defender quest for 9. Treachery raises threat to 38 and adds Southron Mercenaries to the staging area. Threat increases to 39 for questing unsuccessfully. Mercenaries engage and deals 1 archery damage to Eowyn. Mercenaries attack is undefended and shadow card does 2 damage to each battleground destroying The Banks. The undefended damage destroys The Approach. Aragorn deals 2 damage to the mercenaries. Refresh and threat is 39.

Turn 4: Honour Guard drawn. Legolas played. Aragorn, Eowyn, and Defender quest for 7. Orc War Camp revealed. Threat raised to 42. Archery damage dealt to Aragorn. Beregond defends. Shadow card adds 2 attack for 5 total resulting in a damage on Beregond. Legolas attacks and kills the Mercenaries. Dwarven Axe drawn. Refresh and threat is 43.

Turn 5: Dagger of Westernesse drawn. Honour Guard played. Eowyn, Beregond, and Defender of Rammas quest for 9. Orc Arbalesters added to the staging area. Threat raised to 46 for questing unsuccessfully. Arbalesters engaged and Honour Guard defends. Shadow cards increases Arbalesters attack to 3 dealing 2 damage to Honour Guard. Aragorn and Legolas attack and kill Arbalesters. Eagles of the Misty Mountains drawn. Refresh and threat is 47.

Turn 6: Feint drawn. Bofur played. Eowyn, Beregond, Defender of Rammas, and Honour Guard quest for 10. Haradrim Elite added to the staging area and will threat out.
