Overview
I’ve reset after my last attempt went horribly awry with a bad shadow. This time I’m a good player and remember to draw cards with Beravor. It makes a really big difference in my game! Card draw I will say ends up being the MVP.

- Guard of the Citadel
- Steward of Gondor
- Sneak Attack

6.2 Action(s)
- Sneak Attack to put Gandalf into play (This is the action window to do this so Gandalf can block the Hill Troll for me.)
- Draw Unexpected Courage, Guard of the Citadel 2, and Stand and Fight (I don’t need to use the 4 damage on the Hill Troll since it won’t be attacking. Same for the goblins because I want them to damage Gloin for resources. My threat is fine. I need allies for questing power in stage 2 and attack power to whittle away at the troll. Building up my board state is the goal now.)

Postmortem
I really thought the game was over when that Brown Lands came out. Beravor’s draw into the Mendor’s Support really saved the game for me. The only other answer for that flip would have been discarding Snowbourne Scout with Eowyn then playing Stand and Fight on it. I didn’t have those cards. I mention it only in case someone runs into a similar situation. I’m really happy with how the game went from there. I got to show how Gandalf’s threat reduction ability can be really key at certain points in this game. It really gave me the time I needed to build up plus find Forest Snare. A second sneak attack Gandalf after engaging the Hill Troll let me avoid gaining the Scarred burden. Looking at the campaign card for resolution I noticed I forgot to attach Valor to a hero. I’m just going to say I put it on Gloin. It doesn’t change anything in this game. Healing to start the game is going to be awesome on Gloin.
