The Land of Sorrow with The Golden Liberator – January 23, 2022

Overview

After getting the spoiler image for Tactics Glorfindel, I realized with The One Ring + Strength and Courage he could one shot any of the Wardens. I started building up from there. I decided Spirit would be good for threat reduction, Light of Valinor, and Dain. Dain would be able to cover defense without any help as well. Then I could focus on questing allies, action advantage, threat reduction, and damage cancelation. The final decklist was lighter on threat reduction than I wanted, but I thought maybe could speed run it with Tactics Glorfindel.

Postmortem

That is game. Elfhelm is several turns too late to help. I’ll threat out at 45 due to The One Ring. Still Tactics Glorfindel made mince meat of the Wardens. If Light of Valinor was in my opening hand, I would have been in a much better spot. I think I’ll up the copies to 3. I’ll also have to look at putting in more threat reduction. I think Asfaloth and Reforged will have to be replaced by Dwarven Tomb and Galadhrim’s Greetings. Rohan Warhorse can probably go as well. More cheap questing allies can help too.
