Overview

I was really unsure how this game would go. My opening hand wasn’t impressive. Once again, I demonstrate a knack for drawing Hidden Caches and Ered Luin Miners instead of mining them. I think bad luck defeats me more than the quest itself does.

Postmortem

For all my horrible draws of cards I wanted to mine, somehow I pulled this game out. I was much more able to use Map and Dwarven Tomb to refill my deck a little bit more than previous games. I wasn’t excited about starting with 2 Elrond’s Counsel but they kept me from having to engage Ash Mountain Werewolf and milling an extra card for each of its attacks which was nice.

I can definitely see myself coming back to play this scenario again. This quest, Danger in Dorwinion, Temple of Doom, Wrath and Ruin, and Challenge of the Wainriders all seem to have good replay value. Challenge of the Wainriders maybe not as a true solo scenario though. Next up, Land of Sorrow!
